It starts with a handshake and “Welcome to Buster Miles. How can we help you today?” Then our sales consultants listen to you about your needs and desires so your time is not wasted showing you vehicles not within your specifications. Our experienced finance manager can help those with less-than-perfect credit obtain car loans. Our goal is to be your new car and used car dealer!

Our service department offers complementary shuttle service from 8:00am till 5:00pm weekdays to any destination within a 15 or 20 minute radius. Our clean, comfortable van will take you to your office, shopping, home, etc. and pick up at your convenience. A customer lounge with amenities is provided for those who choose to wait while maintenance or repairs are made by our ASE Certified and Factory Trained Technicians. Rental cars and loaners are also available.

All normal maintenance and light repairs are priced at very competitive levels and follow all manufacturer recommended maintenance schedules. Written service estimates are available upon request and there is no charge for the estimate if we perform the repairs. Service appointments may be scheduled online.

The Buster Miles Story

Young Buster Miles
Just home from WWII

Buster Miles was one of 10 children born to Mim and Dollie. Buster and his siblings worked the farm in Glencoe until Buster joined the Army and left before completing high school. During his time with the 41st Infantry, which was one of the first to enter Hiroshima after the atomic bomb was dropped, Buster sold his cigarette, beer, and whiskey rations and loaned money for $2,500. When his duty was up, Buster returned to Glencoe and completed his high school education. It was 1947. Jackie Robinson signed with the Brooklyn Dodgers. Harry Truman was President. The Frisbee was invented. Reddi-Wip hit grocery store shelves. Pan Am offered round-the-world airfare for $1,700. Buster Miles secured a loan for $2,500 and, with his brother Frank, opened Miles Motors.

Miles Motors featured fine used cars on their independent lot in Anniston on Noble Street. It continued to operate even after 1952 when Buster purchased Jim McGriff’s 25 year-old Chevrolet - Oldsmobile dealership in Heflin. The employee staff of five grew to ten within five years. In 1960, Buster opened the doors to a new location of Buster Miles Chevrolet – Olds and, simultaneously, introduced the area to a state-of-the-art service department and body shop. The number of employees then had swelled to 13.

Much has happened since then. Buster Miles Chevrolet-Oldsmobile is now just Buster Miles Chevrolet. Ford and Mercury products joined the Buster Miles franchise in 1994 and now flourish from a spacious, modern facility off I-20 at exit 199. Buster Miles dealerships employ 60 customer-focused men and women in sales, service, parts, and body repair. Day-to-day operations have been turned over to Matt Miles and Hope Miles Jamison.

Buster Miles, one of just a few thousand WWII veterans still working, checks in daily at the dealerships and will always pinch hit on the lot to help a customer, but now devotes more time to his passions – golf, exercise, and Auburn football.
