Lube and Service Technician Needed

Vehicle Technician must have own tools and be able to perform light/medium automotive mechanical duties. The job will require performance and experience in performing the following duties: oil changes, mount and balance tires, brakes, batteries, flushes, etc. Certifications such as ASE or Ford Certifications are encouraged, but not required. Experience and Certifications will reflect directly in pay. 
 
Job Duties
The duties of a lube technician are similar to those of an automotive technician, only somewhat less extensive. The job will focus around fluid checks and basic maintenance. Typically, a lube tech will change a vehicle's oil, check the transmission fluid and other fluid levels, inspect various belts and filters, and check air levels and gauges. Training will be provided, but candidates should at least have a basic understanding of car maintenance.
Lube technicians must write up service reports and receipts for work done. A computer will be used to complete these tasks, so basic computer skills are a plus. Customer interaction is also part of the job. Lube technicians should be able to communicate well and explain technical components in basic English.
 
Job Qualifications
Lube technicians will need to be at least 19 years old and have a high school diploma or the equivalent. Candidates will need to possess a broad range of automotive knowledge, but do not necessarily need any prior experience (6 months of prior experience is preferred). A work history featuring experience in the automotive industry would be a definite advantage. No special training or certification is necessary, but will be required to advance to higher positions as an automotive technician. On the job training will provide workers with the skills and know how to continue their career in other branches of the auto industry. Lube technicians should be friendly and may need to have a basic understanding of how to use computers and other electronic devices.
 
Salary & Compensation
Pay will start between $10 and $15 per hour and is based upon experience. We offer a competitive set of benefits, including health care coverage, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.

Sales Consultant

Job Brief:

Buster Miles Automotive Dealerships in Heflin, Alabama  is seeking a result-driven Sales Consultant to be responsible for all sales job duties from generating leads to closing sales.


Summary:

Sells new or used vehicles at a profit to the dealership, while ensuring customer satisfaction.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:

  • Meets dealership sales goals.

  • Greets customer and with genuine enthusiasm to determines make, type, and quality of vehicle desired.

  • Explains features and demonstrates operation of vehicle in showroom or on demonstration drive.

  • Suggests optional equipment for customer to purchase.

  • Computes and quotes sales price, including tax, trade-in allowance, and discount.

  • Completes paperwork accompanying vehicle sales, including but not limited to, preparing sales slip or sales contract.

  • Arranges for delivery and registration of vehicle.

  • Researches availability of models and optional equipment.

  • Engages in business development personally and in the community.

  • Addresses customer concerns.

  • Maintains CSI at or above Company standards

  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area

  • Participates in required training

  • Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system

  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.

  • Demonstrates the Company's Core Values

  • Complies with Company policies and procedures

Environment Demands

Duties are performed throughout the premises, both indoors and outdoors and on customer test drives. Due to the nature of the position, may be exposed to various work environments and required to perform a variety of tasks. Heavy standing work. Work includes frequent movement around the company facilities and the outdoor car lot to interact with customers and other departments.

Ability to use email, text message, and social media to communicate daily. Has good verbal and written grammar skills.
